1. Who we are

MarkoutPro ("we") provides a construction project management platform at markoutpro.com and app.markoutpro.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your choices. Contact: info@markoutpro.com.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data — name, email address, company details, password (stored hashed).
  • Content you enter — projects, timesheets, payroll inputs, financial records, documents and photos your team uploads. This may include personal data about your employees; you are the controller of that data and we process it on your behalf.
  • Payment data — handled by Stripe; we never store full card numbers.
  • Usage & device data — log data, session identifiers and analytics events (Google Tag Manager / Microsoft advertising tags on the website).

3. How we use data

  • To provide and secure the Service (authentication, sessions, backups).
  • To process subscriptions and send transactional email (approvals, invites, password resets).
  • To improve the Service and, on the marketing site, to measure advertising.
  • We do not sell personal data.

4. Where data lives

Data is stored in managed cloud infrastructure: MongoDB databases, Amazon Web Services S3 for files and photos, and Stripe for billing. Access is restricted by role-based permissions and tenant isolation.

5. Cookies & analytics

The website uses cookies and similar technologies for session handling and analytics (Google Tag Manager, Microsoft/Bing tags). You can block cookies in your browser; the app itself only requires strictly-necessary storage (login tokens).

6. Retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. Deleted records are soft-deleted first (recoverable for a limited window), then removed. You can request a full export or deletion of your account data at info@markoutpro.com.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete or restrict processing of your personal data. Email us and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

8. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be announced in the app or by email before they take effect.
